News Letter

Easter Triumph Family,

Grace, mercy and peace to you from God our Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I know it is a little early for a newsletter, but I want to let you know what is going on concerning the 2021 production. We had our July board meeting on Sunday, July 26, 2020. At this meeting, we discussed how we are going to move forward in the “New Normal”.

We are still planning to hold the production in the Concordia High School Event Center but, Concordia may be under construction, they are closing on the sale of their property across the street from their future home on September 15, 2020. They should be able to begin construction on or about October 15, 2020. They estimate that the event center portion should be ready by late January to early February.

The date for the 2021 production is March 27, 2021, so construction should be complete by the production date; however, things happen during construction that could cause delays and along with the uncertainty associated with COVID-19, We are exploring different options for venues. We are assembling a venue team to explore our options from using the large warehouse at Concordia High School to local Preforming Arts Centers to even outdoor spaces, (as it seems COVID is afraid of outdoor spaces). We are also looking into recording the production to show online or over different television platforms.

We are updating the music and sound effects that are used in the production to avoid copywrite infringements, some of the music we use came from the movie Star Wars. Along with these items, we are looking into ways to update and improve our sets and props to other fundraising opportunities.

We need your help! We need people to assist these teams. We will need volunteers to help with fundraising events, if you are musically inclined, we could use your help in finding public domain music or even writing our own scores. We need someone with a structural engineering background to help with set and prop updating. If you know of anyone that can help, please email me at lriedel3@gmail.com. We also need people to serve on these teams, many of us have time that we didn’t have in the past thanks to COVID-19. This year we have the opportunity to move forward in ways we have not been able to in the past.

We have a Divine calling to proclaim the story of Christ's perfect life, death upon the cross and His resurrection for OUR forgiveness and an obligation to God Himself to "Shout it from the rooftops" (Matthew 10:27). We have an extraordinary opportunity, teamed with Concordia Lutheran High School, to take the Word of God to the people who know it and to the ones who NEED to hear it.

Now, we have an opportunity to bring this production to the forefront and do our jobs as Christians to allow God to work through us and reveal His Grace to ALL MANKIND. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves" but " We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them". (Ephesians 2:8-10). This IS one of His "Good Works” which He has ordained.

I ask that you would, through prayerful consideration, offer to serve on one or more of these teams, encourage others to serve and pray that God’s will and guidance be done.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and consider our request.

Yours in Christ,

Lane Riedel

President of the Board of Directors
